  • Google celebrates 21st birthday with a Doodle-Digital Net Guru

Google celebrates 21st birthday with a Doodle
Google is legal! Well, to buy a beer anyway. When the legality of some of its other activities is a point of conflict among certain state and federal entities, the web giant is celebrating its 21st birthday on Friday with a retro Doodle.

The Doodle displays you what a typical Desktop Computer looked like 21 years ago when- Stanford Ph.D. scholar and Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page published a paper called- The Anatomy of a Large-Scale Hypertextual Web Search Engine. The two layouts Google a prototype- "large scale search engine" that had a database of "at least 24 million pages."

"We choose our system name, Google, because it is a common spelling of googol, or 10100, and fits well with our goal of building very large-scale search engines," the pair wrote in the paper's introduction.
In the 21 years since- Brin and Page outlined their concept for a search engine, -the company has grown up dramatically. Google's search engine now indexes hundreds of billions of webpages, but the company has gone from humble beginnings as a search engine to the most dominant force in advertising. Now Google has a parent company, -Alphabet with tentacles that reach almost everywhere from self-driving cars, bikes to its Android mobile software to the extension of life.

But do not look too closely at Google's birth certificate. The company has celebrated its birthday on Sept. 27 since 2006 -but the previous year, it celebrated its birthday on 26t Sept and in 2004 & 2003, the date was 7th Sept and 8th Sept, respectively. Google isn't even sure why this is, -especially since it was incorporated on 4th Sept 1998.
Regardless, Happy 21st Birthday to a company that- for better or worse, helped usher in the information age.
  • Arun Jaitley passes away at 66-Former Finance Minister and BJP Veteran

Arun Jaitley, Former Finance Minister, and BJP Veteran Passes Away
A run Jaitley, the former finance minister and a stalwart of the Bharatiya Janata Party, passed away on Saturday at AIIMS hospital in New Delhi. He was 66.

AIIMS hospital also issued a statement on Arun Jaitley's death. As per the statement, "It is with profound grief that we inform about the sad demise of Shri Arun Jaitley, Hon'ble Member of Parliament and former Finance Minister Government of India at 12:07 pm on August 24, 2019. Arun Jaitley was admitted in AIIMS, New Delhi on 09/08/2019 and was treated by a multidisciplinary team of senior Doctors."

Arun Jaitley was unwell for a large part of the last two years. In 2018, Arun Jaitley underwent a kidney transplant surgery, following which he was put under isolation. Four years earlier, in 2014, Arun Jaitley underwent a bariatric surgery to address the excess weight he had gained due to diabetes.

During the Narendra Modi government's first term in office, Arun Jaitley was seen as the prime minister's 'go-to' man. Jaitley was the one to take on the responsibilities of temporarily handling ministries other than his primary portfolio of finance.

As finance minister, Arun Jaitley presented all of the Narendra Modi government 1.0's budgets. However, due to his ill health, he was unable to present the 2019 Interim Budget, which was instead presented by his colleague Piyush Goyal.

After the Bharatiya Janata Party's victory in the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Arun Jaitley wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting that he not be given any responsibilities in the new government as he wanted to focus on his health.

A lawyer by profession, Arun Jaitley was among the leaders who were jailed by the Indira Gandhi government during the Emergency. He was a student leader at the time.

After being released from jail, Arun Jaitley joined active politics as a member of the Jan Sangh and rose through the ranks of the organization, which later became the BJP.

A lawyer by profession, Arun Jaitley also served on the Atal Bihari Vajpayee cabinet. Between 2009 and 2014, when the BJP sat in the Opposition benches, Arun Jaitley served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha.

Arun Jaitley is survived by his wife and two children.
  • Viral FaceApp: Is FaceApp Safe to Use?

FaceApp shows what you look like when you are old

FaceApp Old filter- An application which lets users see what they will look like when old, has gone viral with users posting pictures on social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram.
If your Instagram Stories or Twitter feed is filled with people looking older than their current age, you can thank the FaceApp for this.
Is FaceApp Safe to Use? Russian Startup Responds to Concerns as 'Old-Age Filter' Goes Viral
Critics have raised questions about the app's access to users' data, with one calling the terms of service agreement a "DOOZY"
FaceApp, a popular app first introduced in 2017, has gone viral again, with countless users distorting their faces with its artificial intelligence technology.
Russian startup Wireless Lab’s creation has experienced resurfaced popularity thanks to the new FaceApp Challenge, which finds celebrities and fans sharing their digitally aged faces with their followers on social media. Everyone from the Jonas Brothers, Drake, the Queer Eye cast and Joanna Gaines have posted the shocking transformations.
But FaceApp’s second coming is also bringing up many questions about user security, with some experts warning about the dangers of allowing the app to have access to your data.

A major concern many have brought up: the content-usage rights users sign away to the developers when they agree to the app’s terms and conditions.
Digitas strategist James Whatley shared the fine print on Twitter, calling the terms of service agreement a “DOOZY.”
Privacy expert David Vaile, the chair of Australian Privacy Foundation, told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation that “they ask for way more rights than they need” and “it is impossible to tell” what is done with the uploaded content.
However, in a statement to PEOPLE, Yaroslav Goncharov, founder of the app, says that the company does not “sell or share any user data with any third parties.”

“We mostly store an uploaded picture in the cloud. The main cause for that is performance and traffic, we want to make sure that the user does not upload the picture repeatedly for every edit operation,” he says. “Maximum photos are deleted from our servers within 48 hours from the upload date.”

In addition to this, FaceApp does not have access to data that could identify a person, because all of its features are available without having to log in, and 99% of users don’t log in to the app, Goncharov says.

He also addresses the questions that users have about the app’s access to their photo library, after one user wrote on Twitter that the app immediately uploads user-selected photos from a user's phone to its database without asking the user for permission. (The tweet has since been deleted.)

“FaceApp performs most of the photo processing in the cloud. We only upload a picture selected by an app user for editing,” Goncharov said in the statement, claiming that the app would only have access to photos selected by the user. “We never transfer any other photos from the phone to the cloud.”

The data users upload to the app is reportedly not transferred to a server in Russia, though the app’s core team is located there. A security researcher confirmed to Forbes that the server was actually located in the U.S. and Australia.
If still wary, Goncharov says users can request to have all of their data removed from the app’s servers at any time.

This will let you know which marketing methods are most effective, that allows you to refine and improve your marketing strategy.

    9. Authority
Digital marketing makes it very easy to comment on different issues and controversies that relate to your product, your company or your industry. • Apple announces plans to shut down the iconic platform iTunes|Digital Net Guru

    Apple is shutting down iTunes-

Anyone with an Apple device has used iTunes to search for a music video, song, or a TV show. Now the iTunes time will draw to a close.
The iTunes platform was an essential part of Apple’s global growth in the early 2000s. Bloomberg reports the tech giant will announce the iTunes shutdown at a developer conference that begins Monday.

This development has been rumored for years, as subscription-based streaming services, including the company’s own Apple Music, have overtaken music downloads. According to the RIAA’s 2018 year-end report, streaming amounted to 75% of the U.S. music industry’s revenue. .

It is been over 18 years since iTunes was introduced at the 2001 Macworld Expo, offering a solution to an industry struggling with piracy. Since then, it has grown into a media behemoth, becoming a one-stop shop for users to consume media that includes music, movies, and TV.

But Apple is planning to divide these various types of media by replacing iTunes with three new apps: TV, Music, and Podcasts. The company has already decentralized media on both iPads and iPhones, which offer the trio of apps. Now, it’s a matter of migrating Macs and MacBooks.

The Music app will reportedly keep some of iTunes key features, along with song purchases and phone syncing. While the discontinuation of the landmark program feels like the end of time, it also presents Apple with the opportunity to improve upon iTunes functionalities.

  • How AI is Change the Future of Digital Marketing|Digital Net Guru

How AI is Revolutionizing Digital Marketing

    What is Artificial Intelligence?

Artificial intelligence has a variety of definitions, but the best general understanding of AI machines capable of mimicking cognitive functions like learning and problem-solving. Learning and problem-solving help the AI improve the chances of achieving its programmed goal — whatever that might be. AI can be incredibly simple — even a thermostat is a type of intelligence agency (the basis of AI in computer science), but it is the ability to change itself is what makes Artificial intelligence for online marketing truly powerful.
AI is a broad category, and both machine learning and deep learning fall within its purview. Machine learning(MI) is already in broad use and enables machines to learn and adapt, and improve itself based on its experiences.

Artificial Intelligence is already a major part of our daily lives, used by everyday brands like Google, Netflix, Amazon, Snapdeal, Uber, Apple, and many more. Now, Artificial Intelligence technology is driving some of the most exciting changes in the world of Online Marketing.

How to Implement Artificial Intelligence Digital Marketing for Your Business
Using AI Digital Marketing strategies can transform the way you engage with your customer. It can help you drive relevant traffic, acquire new customers, increase sales, and retain your existing customers.

Here’s how you can use AI technology to process your customer's needs, wants, and preferences into personalized customer experiences.

    Chatbots
Chatbots are the biggest example of the use of Artificial Intelligence technology. They act as a virtual assistant for customers whether you ask Alexa to play your favorite song or Siri to set an alarm. There are several AI chatbot programs that can help you engage with your consumers in a better way. You can add useful chatbots to your websites, emails, apps, and text messages.
You can use chatbot programs to reach out to your customers and respond to their queries. They have the efficiency to answer the most common queries that your customers might have, And they can engage in human-like conversations that improve customer experience.

For example, coffee giant, Starbucks, is making efficient use of Artificial Intelligence Digital Marketing strategy to supplement human employees. When you want your favorite coffee with minimal human interaction, the Starbucks Barista bot for Facebook Messenger has you covered. It orders you coffee, just the way you like it.

The bot even understands complex orders. You can't only order a simple “latte” but also place complex orders with special requests. The bot easily allows you to order coffee like a “double tall mocha non-fat extra hot no whip.”

    Personalized Product Recommendations
Many retail companies and e-commerce brands use AI technology to track their customer's preferences, habits, and buying behavior. These insights help them make suggestions on products and services that their consumers may be interested in. Knowing your customer's buying habits can help you craft a more effective marketing strategy. You can promote products that your customers may actually want to purchase. AI digital marketing and data analysis strategies are far quicker and more accurate than any human capability. It empowers you to personalize the user experience for your audience, engage them, and increase e-commerce sales.
E-commerce giant, Amazon, uses AI-powered recommendation engines to effectively provide personalized suggestions. These recommendations play an important role in scaling up sales and contributing to their revenue growth.

Amazon’s recommendation algorithms consider their user's buying history, items in their cart, items they’ve liked, and what other users bought or viewed.

    Conclusion
Artificial Intelligence has been around for a long time, but now it is taking off. Online Marketers are going to have to work hard to keep up, or better yet, stay on top of this technology. The rewards of that effort, however, in addition to enhanced customer engagement, sales, brand recognition, customer loyalty, and overall ROI, mean this technology will help online marketers provide the customer with products and solutions to fit their specific needs. In the Age of the Customer, investing in CX is always an excellent decision, and if there is any marketing technique that supports the consumer experience, it is artificial intelligence.
